Cast from a unique custom-formulated plastic with the look, feel and heft of real bone, this adult female specimen reproduces even such fine details as the delicate nasal conchae, internal carotid canal, and full-size styloid processes.

The sectioned calvaria detaches to permit study of cranial vault, and the articulated, detachable mandible bears the full adult complement of teeth. Skull sutures are color accented. Bones and major features are identified by number - using four different colors for easy reference: bones and teeth, numbered black - sutures, numbered green - processes, protuberences, chondyles, numbered brown - foramina and fissures, numbered red.

The bones of this 3-part specimen have been hand painted in contrasting colors. This greatly simplifies the process of identifying cranial and facial bones, while it reinforces learning their shapes and relationships. Calvaria and mandible are detachable. Skull exhibits the full 32 tooth adult dentition.
