1941-10 Earths Annual Revolution
Denoyer-Geppert Astronomy Chart
Four large colorful figures capture the earth globe in its circuit around the sun at its exact position on the first day of each of the four seasons - the vernal equinox, summer solstice, autumnal equinox, and winter solstice. Each of the four earth globes is accompanied by an interesting companion globe illustrating a simultaneous polar view of the earth. This unique polar perspective makes obvious the meaning of the term equinox, and plainly demonstrates the seasonal variation in the length of day and night.
Roman numerals plot the earths orbital position during each of the 12 months. Symbols for the signs of the zodiac are appropriately placed along the orbital track.
